Understanding Men
Men are like a foreign language to women sometimes. When you are just beginning to date, you find yourself wondering how on earth you can begin to understand men and what they want. You sometimes feel so far removed from them that dating seems impossible. First of all, men are much more than football and beer. They have wants, needs and desires too, they just have a much easier time hiding them from you. Men are not as emotionally available as women. Let him talk about things at his own pace. This is not a queue for you to unleash all of your emotional feelings on him in one catastrophic blow. No, no, no. Hold back yourself and let him make all the moves for a while. Just by doing something as simple as this, you are going to create trust, and trust is what leads to being open with each other.

He wants to feel assured that even if he goofs up royally, you are still going to be there for him and love him instead of giving him heaps and heaps of grief for his transgression. He also wants to find someone who will take care of him in ways his mom used to. He doesn't have to a Mommy's Boy to want that. He wants to find someone who will help keep him in check while he takes care of you too and while he still remains the man of the house. Hey, some things never change.
